With clarity, compassion, and depth, Swami Prakashananda brings the Gita alive for youth in a relatable and practical way. After a life-changing meeting with Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda awakened a deeper calling, leading him to India to study Sanskrit and Vedanta at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya. After years of intense study, teaching across India and Nepal, and even completing a law degree at Benares Hindu University, he returned to Trinidad to build something extraordinary. From nearly barren land, he helped establish the thriving Chinmaya Ashram in Trinidad & Tobago – now a vibrant center for youth programs, spiritual learning, and community service.
Dynamic, relatable, and deeply rooted in the Gita, Swamiji has conducted hundreds of camps and yajnas, inspiring young minds to think clearly, live courageously, and lead with values. In recognition of his selfless service, he was awarded the Chaconia Gold Medal by the Government of Trinidad & Tobago.
